Dr Catherine Elliott is Director of Research & Partnerships at Cancer Research UK leading on strategy and funding for discovery, training and clinical cancer research. Prior to this role, Catherine spent six years at the University of Edinburgh as College Registrar for Medicine and Veterinary Medicine following on from nearly a decade at the Medical Research Council, where she led on research ethics and governance as well as a range of funding initiatives, including in Neurosciences and Mental Health, Experimental Medicine and Molecular Pathology.
Catherine is an Honorary Consultant Obstetrician, with a Masters in Medical Law and Ethics.
Dr Elliott joined the SSAC on 1 December 2022.
