SSAC Member Professor Nigel Brown is awarded an OBE for services to science

Professor Nigel Brown was awarded an OBE for services to science in the New Year's honours list.

Professor Brown is President of the Society for General Microbiology and an Emeritus Professor of Molecular Microbiology at Edinburgh, where he was Head of the College of Science and Engineering 2008-2011.
